Since 2008, we have offered our Year 6 pupils the opportunity to participate in a residential trip to Kingswood Adventure Activity Centre at Overstrand Hall in Norfolk. Kingswood provides a rewarding educational programme and offers thrilling outdoor and indoor adventure activities with secure, comfortable accommodation.
While residential courses organised by the school are optional, they are an invaluable part of the curriculum and pupils benefit hugely from the experience, both educationally and socially. We traditionally hold the trip at the beginning of the school year as we feel this helps the group bond and it is an enjoyable way to start what is a very busy and important year for the children. The cost of the residential is typically around £250 and can be paid in full or in instalments in the months prior to the trip.
The next Kingswood trip will take place from 2-6 September 2019. Details of what the children will need to take with them are outlined below but full information will be provided to parents closer to the time.
A meeting about the Kingswood trip for Year 5 parents took place on Monday 28 January, to share information about the trip and the activities the children will undertake, and answer any questions. There will be another meeting for parents later in the year to finalise all the arrangements for the trip.
