Overdale wildlife.....
..caught on camera!
You may well have heard from the children that we have badgers in the school grounds. Over the past year they have made themselves very much at home and have created an extensive sett next to the brook. They dug a new hole within the Addy the other day which caused lots of excitement, but we think this may not be an official entrance into the sett as there is little evidence of them using it.
We have enjoyed seeing videos and photos of the badgers using a wildlife camera and a number of the classes have been researching badger's lifecycles, habitats and habits. We are not sure how many badgers there are in the sett and as yet we don't know if there are any cubs. We will keep our eyes open and our camera running.
Thank you for your support in enjoying the badgers without disrupting their home.
