On Thursday, Overdale Junior School participated in their very first, in house, teacher research group (TRG).

Lots of class teachers from all year groups came together to watch a maths lesson in both Year 5 and Year 3 to see mastery in action. 

As you may know, OJS has been developing mastery in maths through out the year, working to make sure all children have the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of mathematics, to reach a greater potential and not be left behind.

Mr Ellis and Miss Smith would like to this opportunity to say a big thank you to all the children involved. The class teachers that came to watch the lessons were astounded at the level of maturity and the depth of discussion shown by the children. We are very proud of this and the progress they’re making in their journey to become fluent mathematicians.
